An energy delegation from Lithuania in Denmark

An energy delegation from Lithuania is currently in Denmark studying lessons learned in policy planning and implementation of Denmark‘s „smart metering“ strategy, under which all Danish electricity end-users will have smartmeters by 2020 and be billed on an hourly basis.

Lithuania plans a mass roll-out of smart meters in 2020 with completion by 2023. Lithuania’s delegation includes Rytis Kėvelaitis, Adviser to the Energy Minister, senior officials from Lithuania’s regul...ator – the National Commission of Energy Control and Prices, and Transmission systems operator ESO, who are meeting with Danish counterparts at the Danish Energy Agency, Danish Utility Regulator, Energinet, “Radius” (Ørsted A/S Group) and Kamstrup in Copenhagen and Middlefart. The delegation also visited the Embassy of Lithuania in Copenhagen and shared insight about their visit goals.
