Anton Lukoszevieze and his “Apartment House” at Wundergrund Festival Saturday 30 October, 2010, at 8 pm, Literaturhaus (Møllegade 7, 2200 København N)

Apartment House is the leading London music collective for experimental music. The cellist Anton Lukoszevieze is the artistic commander for the ensemble, and this evening marks the premiere of his brand new video-musical version of the Lithuanian Fluxus-icon George Maciunas' piece Music for Everyman. "The piece is the ultimate experimental music composition," Anton Lukoszevieze explains enthusiastically. "Take a table full of sounds, add some time and hey, presto-uber-Ikea-music. George was crazy about form and tidiness; he created large sea maps with a view of the avant garde. Music for Everyman might be viewed as an invitation into chaos, but even chaos has rules and regulations." Tonight, Apartment House consists of four and a half Lithuanians. The star performer from the international improvisation scene, saxophonist Liudas Mockunas, studied in Copenhagen and is signed with the record label ILK. The other members are Vladimir Tarasov (drums), Arturas Bumsteinas (electronics) and the video artist Paulina Pukyte.

Line-up: Anton Lukoszevieze (Cello), Vladimir Tarasov (trommer), Liudas Mockunas (sax), Antanas Dombrovskij's (electronics), Arturas Brumsteinas (electronics), Paulina Egle Pukyte (video)

Presented in collaboration with the Lithuanian culture attaché in Denmark, Iceland and Norway, supported by the Ministry of Culture of Lithuania.
