Day of the Defenders of Freedom

Remembering the events of January 13, 1991, when thirty-three years ago, led by the desire for unity and freedom, Lithuanian citizens achieved a historic victory, we stand together with Lithuania and Lithuanians worldwide in the initiative 'Light of Victory.'

On Freedom Defenders' Day, we pay tribute to those who lost their lives on January 13, 1991, during the Soviet army's aggression in Vilnius against Lithuanian legitimate government, independence and peaceful citizens.
