Denmark's former Foreign Minister received a state award from Poland

Denmark's former Foreign Minister Uffe Ellemann-Jensen received a state award from Poland at a ceremony attended by his immediate family and representatives of the Baltic Sea states. As noted by the Ambassador of Poland, Uffe needs no introduction: he is a living legend, who did so much to promote freedom and strengthen democracy in Poland and the Baltic States. Lithuania bestowed two state awards upon Uffe Ellemann-Jensen in 1992 and 1997 for his outstanding practical and political assistance to Lithuania.
