Denmark's Minister of Defence visited Lithuania

Denmark's Minister of Defence Trine Bramsen was welcomed in Lithuania today by her counterpart, Defence Minister Raimundas Karoblis, who thanked Denmark for its long-standing assistance to Lithuania, Danish contributions to the NATO Force Integration Unit in Vilnius and the NATO Baltic Air Policing Mission, a project he called “of strategic importance”. Minister T.Bramsen noted that the close cooperation enjoyed by both countries needed to become even closer in the face of growing threats in the region and globally. Minister T.Bramsen visited Danish troops at Šiauliai AirBase. Denmark is participating in the NATO Air Policing Mission in the Baltic states for the 7th time with a contribution of four F-16 fighter jets and 60 military personnel.
