Lithuanian troops attended a farewell ceremony in Aalborg

Lithuania's Defence Attaché to Denmark attended a farewell ceremony in Aalborg yesterday for Danish, Lithuanian, Latvian and Estonian troops being deployed to Iraq within the Danish ground contingent DANCON. During the ceremony, Danish Army commander – Major General Michael Lollesgaard – thanked the Baltic States for many years of strong defence cooperation with Denmark’s Armed Forces, and for their contribution to the training mission in Iraq. The DANCON unit consists of 150 soldiers, including six instructors from each Baltic country.
