Meeting between Lithuanian and Danish experts in the field of energy
September 28-30, 2021 a delegation of energy experts led by Lithuanian Deputy Minister of Energy Daiva Garbaliauskaitė paid a working visit to Copenhagen. Representatives from the Lithuanian Ministry of Energy, the Lithuanian Energy Agency, AB Litgrid and UAB EPSO-G met with representatives of the Danish Ministry of Climate and Energy, renewable energy companies, participated in a seminar organized by the Danish Energy Agency and visited an offshore wind farm in Copenhagen.
During the meeting with Marie Hindhede, Deputy Minister of Climate and Energy of Denmark, Lithuania's ambitious plans to expand the generation of renewable energy in the near future and initiatives related to the development of "green" hydrogen technologies in the country were presented.
During the meetings with the representatives of renewable energy companies, the Lithuanian delegation was interested in the Danish experience in the field of renewable energy and "green" technologies. Lithuania and Denmark share common ambitious goals in the field of energy. Both countries are working for offshore wind development, green hydrogen production and decarbonisation of the energy sector to achieve climate neutrality by 2050.
