The 3rd Security Summit in Haderslev

Andrius Kubilius, M.P. and former Prime Minister of Lithuania, delivered a keynote address at the 3rd Security Summit in Haderslev (Denmark) on May 2. “The role of the European Union is pivotal for our security and is too often underestimated,” said Kubilius.
He argued that Western countries must invest in Ukraine’s success and actively support its pro-Western direction. A strong democratic Ukraine can set a good example for other countries in the neighborhood, including Russia, he argued, because democracies rarely fight each other. Other speakers included the Danish Minister for Development Cooperation, Denmark’s Ambassador in the EU Political and Security Committee, academics and political party representatives.
