The Ambassadors of the Baltic States hosted a working luncheon at the Latvian residence with Jeppe Kofod, Denmark‘s Minister of Foreign Affairs, marking the 30th anniversary of the Baltic Way when two million Balts formed a human chain for freedom across Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. The Minister noted that the Euro-Atlantic integration of the Baltic States can be considered a true success story. Among the topics discussed on this special occasion: regional security and defense cooperation, climate change, digitalization, the Council of Baltic Sea States (Lithuania will take over the Presidency from Denmark in 2020), energy security, Russian aggression against Ukraine, Syria, Iraq and other topics of interest.
