William Shakespeare's tragedy’s "Hamlet" one of the main characters - Ophelia, Danish Prince Hamlet's love, became a victim of the palace intrigues. So far, her death is a mystery - is it an accident, or a deliberate choice ... Witnesses only saw her passing along the riverbank, singing strange melodies, collecting flowers and later, drifting by the river flow... Anyway, in the art Ophelia has always been a symbol of the everlasting beauty and purity. Its prototype inspired many famous artists, poets, writers, composers, filmmakers.

This concert - strokes of the imaginary portrait of Ophelia, in one storyline combines beautiful pieces of Johann Sebastian Bach, Hector Berlioz, Ambroise Thomas, Linas Paulauskis, Antonin Dvorak and other composers.

The distinctive interpretation of Ophelia’s portrait as loving and suffering Woman will create Julija Karaliunaite (soprano) - promising young singer with strong vocals and unique timbre, the winner of the international competition in Rome in 2013, the guest soloist of Lithuanian National Opera and Ballet Theatre. And Liubov Sergijenko (piano) - graduate of the Lithuanian Music and Theatre Academy and internship at the Royal Northern College of Music and Lithuanian Music and Theatre Academy. Stylist - famous clothing designer Daiva Urbonaviciute, the founder of the fashion house Zoraza. Director Ricardas Rickevicius.

The concert will take place on February 8th 2015 20h in Rundetaarn Concert Hall in Copenhagen.
 
The concert is a part of the Joint International Art Project “Maskespil” (“The Game of Masks") which will be held on January 24 - February 22 2015 in Rundetaarn exhibition and concert hall in Copenhagen.
The concert is organized by the Danish pianist, composer, writer, poet and publisher Benedicte Nordin.
